John Kotter (1947) is een Amerikaans bedrijfskundige en emeritus hoogleraar in organisatiekunde en veranderingsmanagement aan de Harvard Universiteit. John Kotter is onder andere bekend als grondlegger van het Kotter 8 step change model en de Six Change Approaches.

Biografie John Kotter

John Kotter behaalde zijn Bachelor graad (BSc.) aan de Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). De graad van Master of Science verwierf hij aan de MIT Sloan School of Management in 1970. Twee jaar daarna promoveerde hij tot “doctor of business administration” (DBA) aan de Harvard universiteit.

Op 33-jarige leeftijd (1980) werd John Kotter professor aan de Harvard Business School.
